Loss

Water under a finished floor. Subfloor opened. Crawl and joist bays exposed. Townhome, occupied building next door.

What we found

  • Finish floor and subfloor came up. Under it: wet dirt, failed wood, and the plumbing run.
  • Kitchen path opened bay by bay so we could see which joists were still in the wet.
  • Air movers and a dehumidifier on the remaining floor, aimed at the open crawl. Moisture map on the machine.
  • Wet wood left in a trailer. Not left in the house.
