The first hour
If people are hurt or fire is still going, 911 is first. We come after the fire department releases the scene. Everything else on this page is for the hour after that — open envelope, standing water, or a house that is not safe to leave overnight.
- 01 Get people out of rooms with live power in water, sagging ceilings, or heavy smoke. Do not walk a wet floor in the dark if you can avoid it.
- 02 If water is still running and you can reach the shutoff safely, turn it off. Leave electrical panels alone if the area around them is wet.
- 03 Call 817-632-2522. 24/7. City, what failed, whether the house is open or still taking on water. That is enough for us to move.
- 04 Photograph openings and standing water from a safe place. Do not start demo. Do not run household fans at wet finishes and call it drying.
What we do when we arrive
Board-up and tarps so weather and people stay out. Extraction of standing water. Moisture readings so equipment follows the map, not a set package of fans. If the roof is open, we tarp same day across Fort Worth and DFW — permanent roof work waits for the inspection. If it is fire, we close openings first and follow soot and suppression water as a separate path.
Same-day drying across Fort Worth and DFW. Occupied houses get a sequence that lets people stay when it is safe. Vacant or gutted houses get a different layout. You choose the contractor. The vendor list is optional in Texas.
