Fort Worth Commercial Water — Corridor Pipe Failure
Cast iron failed in the dirt. Water ran the corridor. We dried it, opened the wet base, and put the walls back.
817-632-2522Loss
Failed underground/cast-iron fitting. Water into a commercial corridor and adjacent tenant space. Occupied building.
What we found
- The fitting in the ground had a hole in it. That’s what put water in the building.
- Corridor base was wet. Drywall came off at the water line so the cavity could dry and get new insulation.
- Tenants stayed. Contents in the showroom got covered. Work ran in the hall.
- Rebuild was the wet band: insulation, rock, paint, then wainscot. Not a full-height demo for a base leak.
01
Source
Cast-iron fitting in the dirt. Hole in the casting. Water had a path into the building.

02
Dry
Dehumidifiers, air movers, and HEPA in the corridor. Occupied building. Equipment on the wet path.

03
Open
Drywall off at the water line. Cavity open. Insulation showing. That’s how you dry a base leak.

04
Rebuild
New insulation, new rock at the wet band, paint, then millwork. The hall stays a hall.

05
Finish
Paint and wainscot back. The wet band is gone.

What we did
Air movers. Dehumidifiers. HEPA scrubbers. Selective demo. Insulation, drywall, paint.
Result
Corridor dry, base rebuilt, paint and millwork back. The building kept operating.
